Preparing Your Natural Hair by Making it Flat

Before putting on the human hair wig, you should prepare your natural hair to make it as flat and tight as possible to make the wig wearing easier and more natural.

For short 4B or 4C hair

Twist your hair into small twists or braid it into small braids and put them back; this works just as well as cornrow braids.

For longer hair

Make two French braids out of your hair.  To achieve a lovely, flat head of hair, pull the braid to the opposite side and pin it up. Repeat the process with another braid.

Bleaching Knots

If the wig isn't already bleached, you should bleach the knots to make them disappear, turn blond, and make it appear as though the hair is growing out of your own scalp.

Procedure for bleaching knots: take out three scoops and combine them with 40 volume developer.  To bleach the hair, make sure it is thick enough to stand on the back of the lace portion and not be able to pass through it.  Apply the bleach to the lace, making sure to cover the entire piece. Avoid using too much bleach as this could cause the lace to become overbleached.  After 20 to 30 minutes, rinse the bleach off.

 Don't worry if your knots are too bleached; black hair dye is an easy way to correct them.  Apply a small amount of black hair dye with a toothbrush and dye it back.

Plucking the Wig

To make your wig appear more natural, pluck it if it isn't already plucked.  We should pluck the wig to remove the extra hair in order to produce a natural front and hairline since, as you know, the hair in the front should be thinner than the rear.

First, plucking a wig  It will be simpler to comb your hair back if you remove all of the baby hair you plan to use and mist the wig with water.  To prevent balding the wig, quickly remove the extra hair in the lace front layer by layer and from side to side using a wig tweezer.

Tint the Lace to Make the Wig Melt

If the lace color does not melt your scalp perfectly, you can tint the lace with the same foundation you use for your face. Thus, the wig will blend perfectly with your skin color.

Put on a Wig Cap

In addition to keeping your wig in place and more securely, a wig cap can make your hair sit tighter and flatter rather than hump-like.  provide additional protection for your head, scalp, and hair beneath the wig cap.  You can wear a wig hat to protect your scalp if you have sensitive hair, edges, or both.  However, you have the option to forego wearing a wig cap if you find it uncomfortable.
